the way of the warriors

"when living your life like an arrow in flight
you must always accept that the end is in sight
be grateful at least for the fact that you knew
you came to death - he did not come for you.
you are like targets who sit and await
patiently suffer the arrows of fate
saying, 'i am but mortal and destined to die,
i can change nothing so why should i try?' "

all of us are warriors who fight against the norm
for we must fend off all those who wish us to conform
they forget that beauty lies within beholder's eyes
and no one is more right than wrong when truth is naught but lies.
we've never asked for anything but to be respected
for our views - and your abuse, it will not be accepted
we are all but passengers on this vessel we all lie
and none of us has the right to decide who lives and dies.
thus we fight not with weapons but words, which are our tools
for those are most effective when warring against fools
so let us live our lives, so too shall you live yours
with mortal coils but so brief, we haven't time for wars.
