war is coming?
"all warfare is based on deception. therefore, when capable, feign incapacity; when active, inactivity."
- sun tzu, "the art of war"
what is the purpose of gaming?
the only honest answer one
could give is "vanquishing
all who dare challenge me."
any other answer is a lie,
a vicious deception aimed at
lowering the foe's vigilance
because he won't be beaten otherwise.
i am not something to be conquered.
gaming presupposes inequality
amongst the participants
that needs to be established
through the humiliation of defeat.
i am not something to be beaten.
gaming presupposes the need
of at least one combatant to
demonstrate their superiority
by any means necessary.
i am not something to be dominated.
all games are acts of war; however,
the spirit of the competition weighs
heavily on the nature of outcomes.
the same game can show multiple
levels of difficulty and intensity.
some are friendly, some are malicious,
never both, but always one.
to the victor go the spoils; they match
the nature of the game. ill-earned
rewards are nothing but spoiled.
when war is waged on the
heart, soul, spirit of another,
malevolence is the only
reward one can gain.
