chaos clouds the path.

hypotheoretical question
what is such that my
mind moves faster than my thoughts:
madness or conquest?
complex affliction
i hold myself to
standards it seems few can reach -
deifying truth?
you can have it all, if you could...
don't drown in doubt through
potential's fear with wings of
hope, truth, certainty.

is always well spent.

author's note: i really can be a total haiku geek, but i like the challenge the format presents. this was written in 3 "sit-downs," obviously some before and some after the new year. the final six haiku were actually written during my new year's party. the first haiku originally had a different title... "hit and run (something)." i thought it was the wrong visual at the time, though in hindsight, it may have been correct.
